Reflecting on Professional Knowledge in Primary and Early Years Settings (X6619)

30 credits, Level 6

Autumn and spring teaching

Explore teaching as a profession and learn how to have a positive impact on children’s learning and wellbeing.

You will:

  • examine types of professional knowledge and how this has emerged from academic study
  • practice classroom experiences and investigations
  • work with other professional practitioners
  • draw on knowledge from throughout your degree.

Supported by a range of reflection models, you’ll identify ongoing targets to support your journey to becoming an Early Career Teacher. In your final teaching placement, you’ll reflect on current professional knowledge and its impact on children’s learning and well-being.
