Biography
Hailing from the North West of England, Tom is twice a graduate of the University of St Andrews, where he studied an MA(Hons) International Relations and Modern History, before taking an MLitt. in International Political Theory. He has always been interested in teaching, and after finishing his postgraduate course, worked in Universities in the North West, helping students learn how to research and develop the ancillary skills they need to be successful in Higher Education and beyond.
Currently, Tom is a first year Doctoral Researcher in the School of Global Studies at the ÈÕº«ÎÞÂë. He is primarily interested in Hegemony - and more specifically, the ways the ruling classes maintain their power, particularly in times of crisis.
